Presidential Message

It's been exciting in our chapter this past month. First, the graduation ceremony in June we were able to meet many of our new members face to face. I want to thank the graduation committee for making this year's graduation festivities the best yet! Lots of hard work went into the planning of the dinner and graduation ceremony and it was all worth it. And now in July we've opened a web page so we can all keep in touch.

Welcome to the UoP Online Chapter web page. Thanks to Carol Din, our Secretary and Webmistress for all her tireless efforts in bringing this page to life. This will really help all of us keep in touch after we've said goodbye to ALEX. Now, ALEX is wonderful and we will still have our ALUMNI meeting in place on that system but once we're out of class we may not always be logging in to see what's happening. Also, with ALEX still growingt's tough to keep buying software upgrades just for the ALUMNI meeting. The INTERNET page is an answer to our communication needs. I hope that we can all continue to keep our friendships and networking current.

We will be trying some new and exciting things over the next few months as we grow here. Please direct any of your classmates, who might not know of this page, here so they can register and become active members. I'm looking forward to seeing this page develop into an active, vibrant place where we can all feel welcome.
